‘Lucky man’ Benji Madden honors ‘queen’ Cameron Diaz’s 51st birthday in rare tribute
Only Cameron Diaz could get Benji Madden back on social media.
The Good Charlotte member posted a sweet snap via Instagram for the first time in nearly six months on Wednesday to honor the actress’ 51st year.
“I’m off line mostly these days, just working, painting, making things and doing family life, but I have grown to like my little tradition of coming back on special occasions to show love to my Queen,” the rocker, 44, captioned a photo of Diaz smiling with a cat in her arms.
“So today, it’s a very Happy Birthday to my beautiful wife, best friend, best partner in everything, ride or die, greatest Mom to our little girl, @Avaline wine boss, family chef, advisor, collaborator and everything else,” Madden continued. “You do it all ❤️.”
He went on to call himself “one lucky man,” adding, “I know that seems obvious but it really is nice to say it out loud now and then when you’re feeling it ❤️ 🙏.
“I love you •forever •always •yours •true love ❤️,” the musician concluded. “Happy Birthday Cameron ❤️😍.”
His brothers, Joel Madden and Josh Madden, commented on the social media upload with heart emojis, while the latter called Diaz the “best best best.”
The “Bad Teacher” star has yet to react to her husband’s touching tribute.
She and Benji started dating in 2014 and tied the knot the following year. The couple welcomed daughter Raddix, now 3, via surrogate in 2019.
