Online Safety Bill will make it easier for bereaved parents to access children's social media

Image
Image: BBC Children and adults across the UK will be better protected by the pioneering Online Safety Bill thanks to several critical amendments, claims the government. Planned rules to prevent children from viewing pornography, content that promotes suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders have been bolstered. The changes also mean that the laws protecting children from encountering harmful content and activity online — as well as the codes and guidance issued by the regulator — will come into force as quickly as possible after the Online Safety Bill has passed. Updates to the Bill will hold services that publish or allow pornography on their sites to a new higher standard on the age verification or age estimation tools they use, meaning they will have to ensure that these are highly effective in establishing whether a user is a child or not. New measures will also hold top tech executives personally responsible for keeping children safe on their platforms. The changes will

Kelsea Ballerini hit in the face with object while performing onstage: Dont throw things

Kelsea Ballerini was struck in the face by a random object in the latest disturbing incident where a musician was pelted onstage. As Ballerini performed her hit song “If You Go Down” at Outlaw Field at the Idaho Botanical Garden in Boise, Idaho on Wednesday, she was suddenly hit in the face and was forced to temporarily stop her gig. The shocking moment surfaced on social media as Ballerini seemingly tended to her eye and walked backstage following a brief exchange with her violinist. While it’s unknown what exactly hit the singer in the face, several fans in attendance suggest it was a bracelet. “Can we just talk about what happened,” Ballerini asked the crowd when she returned to the stage. “All I care about is keeping everyone safe. If you ever don’t feel safe, please let someone around you know.” “If anyone’s pushing too much or you just have that gut feeling, just always flag it. Don’t throw things. You know? The ordeal prompted Ballerini’s official fan account to issue a s

Kevin Costners estranged wife agrees to leave $145M mansion under one condition: report

Kevin Costner’s estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner, said she’s willing to vacate the plush mansion she previously shared with the actor, but only on one condition. The handbag designer has been holed up at the $145 million property — despite their long-standing prenup detailing that she had 30 days to vacate their home after she  filed for divorce on May 1. After weeks of legal back and forth, Baumgartner now says she will leave the estate if the actor coughs up more money to guarantee that she won’t be left penniless, according to court documents obtained by Radar Online . The 49-year-old wants the “Yellowstone” actor, 68, to agree to pay any support fees that the judge orders him to at an upcoming hearing. Baumgartner says she will leave the premises on August 31, 2023, if Costner complies “with whatever support and fee orders that the court makes on July 12” — the hearing date in their divorce proceedings, the outlet reported. Christine Baumgartner said she’s willing to v

Kim Kardashian brings glam team to take drivers license pic: Crazy but I dont care

The trick to great photos? Bring a glam squad. Kim Kardashian rolled up to the DMV with reinforcements in tow on the new episode of Hulu’s “The Kardashians” Thursday — and in addition to having the whole place to herself, the reality star also had a full primp session ahead of “the most important photo you’ll ever take.” “I swear this is where I came to get my license,” Kardashian, 42, exclaimed as she arrived at a California DMV wearing her $450 Balenciaga pedicure flip-flops , a sleeveless black mock-neck top and an oversized varsity jacket to renew her driver’s license. Hairdresser Chris Appleton walked in behind her while carrying a bag full of styling tools, with Kardashian thanking the staff “for staying open” just for her photo. Chris Appleton has been Kardashian’s mane man for many years. Instagram “Today we are with Kim and we’re getting her driving-license-picture-ready,” the celeb hairstylist told a producer as makeup artist Ariel Tejada laughed next to him. Appleto
